Voyager Estate is located in the famous region of Margaret River in Western Australia. Michael Wright, founder of the winery, along with his family has a heritage of more than 150 years in the winemaking business. Voyager Estate is all about a perfect blend of excellent wine, food, and a good time with friends and family.
The whole of Voyager Estate will be certified organic by 2023.
Manual Work in the Vineyards and the Winery
The vineyards of Voayger Estate surround the cellars and the winery. The five vineyards, namely, Broadvale, Voyager, Weightmans, Cordis, and Ullingers each has their own unique characteristics and features. The ideal microclimate, fertile soils, rainfall, and temperature make the region suitable for high-quality vine cultivation. The whole of their estate and the wines will be certified organic by 2023. The winemakers follow a sustainable method of farming in their vineyards, and as minimal use of chemicals or fertilizers is the goal. Almost all the work at Voyager estate is done by hand. Following hand-harvesting, the best grapes are sorted out for further processing. The fermentation and maturation processes then take place under controlled settings so that the wines achieve the perfect balance of aroma, flavor, and complexity.
Responsible Winemaking with Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Shiraz
The main varieties of grapes they grow include Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Semillon, and Merlot. The winery produces high-quality red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. Voyager Estate is a proud ambassador for the Responsible Winery Initiative, a cause by the Winemaker’s Federation of Australia.
