Weingut Meier Schmidt was born from the friendship and vision of two winemakers, Lukas and Markus, who merged their individual wineries on March 1st, 2019. Markus's Weingut Meier in Ulsenheim and Lukas's Weingut Schmidt in Bullenheim combined their expertise to create a winery that offers distinctive, characterful wines from Southern Franconia, a celebrated wine region in Germany.
The winery's vineyards span approximately 50 hectares across some of the finest locations in Germany, including Franconia, Steigerwald, Marktbreit, Randersacker, and Steinbach. Each site features unique terroirs and microclimates that contribute to the quality of the grapes. Weingut Meier Schmidt cultivates a diverse selection of varietals, including Riesling, Silvaner, Weißburgunder, Scheurebe, and Spätburgunder, along with premium Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. The estate produces a range of wines, from robust reds and crisp whites to refreshing rosés and exquisite dessert wines.
The modern facility in Ulsenheim features a charming vinotheque and a well-equipped restaurant, making it an ideal venue for private events. Whether you're planning a wedding, corporate meeting, or training session, the space accommodates up to 100 guests, complete with estate wines and a barbecue buffet. Outdoor seating is available, allowing for a picturesque ceremony among the vineyard rows.

Write a reviewIn September we were here for a wine hike followed by a 3-course menu. The entire afternoon/evening was simply wonderful. From the tour through the vineyards, the information from the boss himself about his wines, the food and of course the wines themselves. Simply incredibly good! We will definitely come back to an event and will diligently recommend you in the meantime!

I'm totally thrilled... Great, tasty wines, fantastic cooking with unimaginably delicious results. And one of the warmest encounters ever… 10 stars from me… Addendum… Did another wine tasting this weekend! Once again confirmation of exceptional wines. Furthermore, a culinary experience from the kitchen... We were there with over 10 people and drove over 300 km... Everyone was thrilled...!

Great event catering, great family company, the food was great and the wines are second to none. We celebrated a really nice 50th birthday there. All wishes were fulfilled. The service was pleasant, friendly and very attentive. Our car is now filled with 2 boxes of wine and I'm looking forward to the first cozy evening ✨ with a delicious bottle of wine from the Meier winery 🥂

We celebrated our wedding at Weingut Meier in August 2022 and are absolutely satisfied. A big compliment to the entire team, especially to Sandra for the competent support of AZ and Markus for the absolute professionalism during the entire day, which we could simply enjoy! Starting with the initial inquiry including the preparation of the offer, through the detailed planning with the selection of the very high quality wines and the delicious catering from Keepers & Cooks, to the day itself, when everything was perfectly organized and even small "problems" were solved quickly and quietly, we can give our 100% recommendation.
