Weingut Meier Schmidt is the Outcome of a Merger

On March 1st, 2019, a merger between two best friends, Lukas and Markus, resulted in Weingut Meier Schmidt. Markus owned Weingut Meier in Ulsenheim and Lukas had Weingut Schmidt in Bullenheim. The duo decided to join forces to deliver something unique to the consumers – multi-layered, independent, and characterful wines in Southern Franconia – a renowned wine region where the current structure stands.

Vineyards Occupying the Best Terroirs

The vineyards are located in some of Germany’s best locations, such as Franconia, Steigerwald, Marktbreit, Randersacker, Steinbach, and many others, each constituting distinct terroirs and microclimate. The total expansion of the parcels is around 50 hectares. Here, the estate grows a vast array of grapes, such as rich-quality Riesling, Silvaner, Weißburgunder, Scheurebe, and Spätburgunder. Some plots are also dedicated to top-class Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Using estate-owned berries, Markus and Lukas produces high red, white, and rose wines, together with delicious dessert and sparkling wines.

Celebrate Your Special Events with Estate Wines

Weingut Meier Schmidt owns a state-of-the-art building in Ulsenheim that consists of a beautiful vinotheque and well-equipped restaurant. Here, guests are allowed to organize private weddings, product presentations, corporate meetings, training courses, and so much more. The building can host up to 100 people, pampered with company wines and a barbeque buffet. Guest seatings can be arranged outside, along with a free wedding ceremony among the rows of vines.
