Winery Martin Mößlein: in the heart of Franconia

In the middle of the Franconian hills between the Steigerwald and the Main Triangle lies the ancient Franconian wine town of Zeilitzheim and the the winery Martin Mößlein.

The Mösslein family has been running their winery on the Untere Dorfstraße in Zeilitzheim for many generations. In 2008, the decision was finally taken to demolish the less functional and unusable older farm buildings. Almost a whole year was spent planning because good things take time. After another year of construction, the vinotheque was opened in August 2010.

Visit the cosy wine bar

The courtyard of the building is confident in its full length, which can also be experienced inside. It opens to the street with floor-to-ceiling windows. The first thing you notice is the elongated, lime-green counter. The room is bright and modern and still has something of a cozy wine bar. Tables and benches invite you for a glass of wine! The open staircase looks into the whiskey distillery. The spacious event hall is on the upper floor. The glazed staircase slides into the large hall like a small house. The building avoids big gestures and blends confidently into the rural environment.

The typical grape varieties that are grown here are Silvaner, Riesling, Pinotblanc, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Domnia, and Sauvignon Blanc

Taste some fruity and excellent spirits at the winery

Local fruits such as plum, mirabelle or pear are refined to witty treasures in their distillery. In their tasting room you can convince yourself of the variety and quality of their products. The owners are a beautiful people who produce great wines and lovely whiskey.
