The story of Weingut Uwe Geßner began in 1981 when Ferd Geßner courageously established the winery on just one-and-a-half hectares of vineyards. In 1993, the Geßner family expanded their agricultural land and began hosting the traditional Hofschoppenfest wine festival annually. In 2010, Inge and Uwe built a new winery facility, complete with modern wine storage tanks, a bottling hall, and an inviting vinotheque. Today, Ferd’s grandsons, Marco and Daniel, continue the family legacy with the same passion for winemaking.

Sustainable Methods Enhanced by Innovative Techniques

To ensure the highest quality wines, the Geßner family practices natural viticulture. Their estate spans 19 hectares, where they cultivate a variety of grapes, including Silvaner, Riesling, Grauburgunder, and Weißburgunder. They also grow premium varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Acolon, and Domina. The winery produces a diverse range of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines, all crafted from grapes sourced from the Wipfeld and Hergolshausen regions.
