A Winery in the Lap of Blissful Nature
Perched in the north of the Franconian region, Weingut Uwe Geßner is a young modern wine estate located in Garstadt, a German municipality surrounded by Würzburg, Schweinfurt, and Kitzingen. The company has a beautiful and well-decorated vinotheque where guests can relish estate-owned wines, liqueurs, and wine jellies. The winery is famous for its unique wine gift ideas and appealing wine bottles.
Proud Winemakers of Weingut Uwe Geßner in Third Generation
With great courage and patience, Ferd Geßner started the story of Weingut Uwe Geßner in 1981 on one-and-a-half hectares of vineyards. The Geßner family purchased agricultural land in 1993, where the company organizes a traditional wine festival, Hofschoppenfest, every year. In 2010, Inge and Uwe established a new winery building, along with modern wine tank storage, good storage, bottling hall, and a vinotheque. Today, the same passion can be seen in Ferd’s grandsons, Marco and Daniel.
Sustainable Methods Enhanced by Innovative Techniques
To maintain the highest quality, the Geßners follow natural viticulture practices. The estate owns 19 hectares of vineyards on which the winery team cultivates a range of grapes, such as Silvaner, Riesling, Grauburgunder, and Weißburgunder, with great passion. They also plant high-end Müller-Thurgau Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Acolon, and Domina. The company’s top wines include red, white, rose, and sparkling wines made within the Wipfeld and Hergolshausen regions.
