The Great History of Wunsch et Mann
The history of Wunsch et Mann traces back to 1793. The Wunsch and Mann families own the estate that spreads over the hillsides of Wettolsheim. The Mann family has been growing grapes since 1793. In 1948, Joseph Wunsch and Joseph Mann founded the Wunsch et Mann winery. Every year, this winery produces about 200,000 bottles of wines.
Winemaking at Wunsch et Mann
The vineyard covers the area of more than 20 hectares. The grapes come mainly from the villages of Eguisheim, Wettolsheim, Colmar, and Wintzenheim. Since 2008, the vineyard has been using organic farming methods. The winery offers three wines: “Steingrubler”, “Hengst” and “Pfersigberg”. The wines from Wunsch et Mann have great aromatic finesse and a powerful character.
