Rooted in Fèrebrianges and a winemaker since 1848, Albert Bergère began producing champagne and founded the A. Bergère brand in 1949. Beyond the land, he passed on a whole philosophy to the generations that followed him: values, commitment, and above all, a passion for the land and wine.
Since 1986, André, the third generation, has been growing the Domaine alongside his wife Brigitte. He expanded the vineyard in the Petit Morin Valley, in the family commune and in the villages of Étoges and Congy. He later acquired plots of vines in the Côte des Blancs and in the Sézannais, expanding the Domaine's Chardonnay terroirs.
In 2014, André was joined by Adrien, a trained oenologist, to whom he entrusted the keys to the winery. This first harvest serves as a witness: Adrien tastes and vinifies the juices from his most promising plots separately. Developing a true passion for the terroir and its essence, he undertakes to pay homage to them in each wine. This is how he acquired the Domaine's first barrels, convinced of the benefits of wood.
Vinification by plot then takes its place in the philosophy of our estate, which is now experiencing a new impetus.
