Domaine de Favas is a family estate located in the heart of Languedoc, in Saint-Bauzile-de-Montmel, in the south of France, between hills and scrubland.
Today embodied by Samuel and Geoffrey Masse, two passionate brothers, the estate perpetuates a know-how passed down for 22 generations, rooted in deep values and a sincere attachment to the family land.
The private wine cellar started in 2018.
The conversion of all plots to organic farming marked the first step in a sustainable commitment in 2018. Today, organic viticulture and regenerative agriculture guide every action, to preserve the soils, promote biodiversity and reveal a landscape of character.
From the outset, a wide range of aromas was sought. This influenced the choice of a wide variety of materials in the cellar. You will find wood, clay, and stainless steel there.
These aging processes are as extensive as they are complex, both in terms of duration and the combination of tanks used…
Each wine expresses the imprint of this unique terroir and reflects a part of our personality.

Écrire un avisWe had a wonderful wine tasting at Samuel's. Besides the interesting history, the wines were excellent. We were also served a fine selection of cheeses and sausages and a kind of pie, all of which were delicious. We highly recommend this winery!

Un grand merci à Claire qui nous a fait connaître ce domaine. Grâce à une balade de cheval qui a été extraordinaire. Le domaine est extraordinaire. Les personnes sont très sympa. Le vin est vraiment bon, je recommande vraiment cet établissement que ce pour une dégustation ou pour l’achat du vin, c’est 10/10 nous qui sommes des restaurateurs, nous sommes vraiment très content.

Une visite inoubliable ! Entre le vignoble, la cave et la dégustation guidée par Samuel, tout était parfait. Une belle histoire de famille et des vins exceptionnels. À ne pas manquer !

We visited this winery today and were met by Samuel. One of the two brothers who took over the winery for the 22nd (!) generation. He was a great host, who showed us around and explained about their focus on organic and regenerative farming. It was great to hear the stories about the history and the vision on wine making. Finally we had a taste of the wines in a nice spot under one of the large tress. A nice range of a light and refreshing rosé, crisp white wine and a fruity dry red wine. And two very well balanced signature red wines!

Des vins d'exception exploités par des frères passionnés. Vins Bio utilisant des engrais naturels. Une dégustation inoubliable, un pur moment de partage avec l'exploitant. Je vous recommande vivement d'y faire un détour afin de connaître une histoire qui perdure depuis 22 générations.
