Casa Comerci: A Legacy of Organic Winemaking

Casa Comerci Winery, located in Badia di Nicotera (VV), Calabria, blends ancient winemaking traditions with modern organic practices. Since 2009, the winery has embraced organic farming techniques to produce exceptional wines. Founded in the late 19th century by Francesco Comerci, the winery has been nurtured by his family, particularly his daughters, Michelina and Rosina, who have continued the legacy with passion.

Olive Oil and Wine: A Family Tradition

At Casa Comerci, the production of olive oil complements the winemaking process. Michelina focuses on the olive trees, while Rosina and her husband, Domenicantonio Silipo, oversee the wine production. Their son, Salvatore, shares a deep connection with the family vineyards, passing down his love for winemaking to his children. Today, Salvatore’s son, Domenicantonio, has modernized the estate, enhancing its 30-hectare expanse, which includes 15 hectares of vineyards and a thriving olive grove.

Tasting Casa Comerci's Exceptional Wines

Casa Comerci prioritizes environmental sustainability, cultivating Magliocco Canino and Greco Bianco grapes under the Granatu Calabria IGT designation. Recently, Domenicantonio expanded the winery by acquiring additional land in Sant’Andrea di Limbadi, allowing for the production of a diverse range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines. The winery is also known for its high-quality extra virgin olive oil, making it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.
