Casa Comerci, Adopting Organic Cultivation
Discover the ancient tradition in modern times at Casa Comerci Winery, situated in Badia di Nicotera (VV), in the heart of Calabria. Running a biological regime since 2009, the winery in beautiful surroundings adopts organic cultivation techniques for the production of delicious wines. The history of Casa Comerci dates back to the late 19th century. The winery was founded by Francesco Comerci, and later his daughters joined the winemaking business. Domenicantonio Silipo, his son-in-law, acquired the company. The company is nourished by an all-female passion Michelina and Rosina, daughters of Francesco.
At Casa Comerci Winery Olive Oil Production is Combined with Wine Production
Michelina has the particular interest towards the olive tree, while Rosina along with his husband Domenicoantonio Silipo, continued the winemaking process. Salvatore, the youngest son of Rosina, had a special bond with the family vineyards and enjoyed making wines there. He passed his inherited passion to his children. Later, with great enthusiasm towards wines, Salvatore’s son – Domenicantonio renovated the estate with modern technology. Casa Comerci Winery is extended over an area of 30 hectares, in which, vineyards occupy 15 hectares, the remaining space is dedicated to an olive grove.

At Casa Comerci ,respect for nature and the environment is vital, the winery grows Magliocco Canino and Greco Bianco under the Granatu Calabria IGT status. Today, Domenicantonio has expanded the winery by purchasing more land in Sant’Andrea di Limbadi district to produce tempting red, white, rose, and sparkling wines by clubbing modern methods with the conventional ones. The company is also an authentic producer of extra virgin olive oil.
