Senatore Vini has deep roots in the heart of Calabria, Italy, dating back to the early 20th century. Founded by Francesco Senatore and Giuseppe Sculco in the Corfu Vecchiu area of Cirò, the winery has evolved significantly over the decades. In the 1940s, the original stone wine cellar was established in Corfu Novu, serving as the heart of the winery for nearly fifty years. In 2005, the Senatore brothers—Raffaele, Saverio, Giuseppe, and Franco—opened a modern facility spanning 4,500 square meters, equipped with state-of-the-art winemaking technology.
Today, Senatore Vini manages 40 hectares of land, with 30 hectares dedicated to vineyards, producing an impressive 280,000 bottles annually. Under the leadership of Dr. Raffaele Senatore, the winery continues to honor its family traditions while promoting the rich wine culture of Calabria. Raffaele's passion for the land drives the winery's commitment to quality and authenticity, ensuring that each bottle reflects the unique character of the region.
The terroir of Senatore Vini is defined by a Mediterranean climate, characterized by mild temperatures and optimal humidity. Write a reviewI visited the winery in August 2024 while on a cruise. The winery was stunning, the wine delicious and winery heritage impressive. My friend and I ordered wine to be shipped back to the States (Unico and Rose). Fast forward a fews months and I purchased 12 more bottles of wine to have at home. I enjoy this wine immensely and am glad I can continue to have it well after my trip. I recommend visiting here, you won't regret it.

Visited this gem of a winery as an excursion on my cruise. The Winery is stunning and very clean. The owners were very kind and explained their wine making process. We got to try several different wines and had some Italian bites as well. The wine was so good, we ordered some to ship home to the US. I will definitely be ordering more wine from here in the future.

Cantina dei Senatore is located in a splendid position between the sea and the green hills of the Cirotan vineyards. They have excellent wines with kind and qualified staff. Tasting while sampling snacks of local products is a very pleasant interlude. I recommend booking a visit and tasting.
