Generations of Winemaking

For generations, the RATIER family has been cultivating its vines on this fabulous terroir in Pic Saint-Loup. The property has evolved thanks to the winegrower's passion transmitted from father to son.

Growing the Wine Passion

In 2002, when his parents retired, Guy Ratier took over by creating a new cellar.

That year was born the Pic Saint-Loup and Le Sang du Visigoth cuvées, both made from 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache, the latter being aged for 12 months in barrels.

A parcel of syrah shelters an old Visigoth cemetery discovered by Roger and René RATIER, it is mentioned in the writings of doctor Jean ARNAL

An unforgettable encounter because it is priceless. It is the person who introduced herself as "the old woman", not comparable to the person. An unplanned visit, on a Sunday. An extraordinary visit and tasting. Filling and conviviality at the top. A real moment of pleasure. Beyond the quality wine, come and enjoy this visit that will undoubtedly leave its mark on you.

Wonderful experience in a beautiful vineyard in the south of France, in the Pic Saint-Loup area! Smiling and welcoming Guilhem and Julien led us on a very informative visit that ended with a tasting of excellent organic wine! The wine seemed even better to us knowing that it was the result of the hard work of a united and large family. We will definitely come back and recommend this visit to everyone! For the more active, a trip to Pic Saint-Loup can be combined with a visit to the vineyard and wine cellar, which are not far away. Thanks again to Guilhem and Julien for their hospitality and for sharing part of their story with us. Merci! Here's to you!

A warm welcome! We had an exceptional time in the company of the lady who introduced us to the area. His fascinating stories about the history of the estate and each wine were captivating. And of course, the icing on the cake (or cork on the bottle), their wines are simply delicious! A family business that shares its know-how with passion!

Very nice visit, we arrived at 3:30 p.m. without warning, we were very well received, great tasting with lots of anecdotes and explanations, passionate winegrowers from father/mother to son/daughter, really a great discovery, prices more than adequate given the competition around, we will come back with great pleasure! Good luck to you. PS: taste their French wine vintages, it’s definitely worth the detour, especially their rosé full of character!
