Tenuta La Riva

Our passion for bottle refermentation and the desire to create wines that express our territory—the Colli Bolognesi—are what set us apart.

We produce still and bottle-refermented wines: sparkling wines made using the Champenoise method (Traditional Method) or a modern take on the Ancestral Method. Organic farming, minimal sulfites, and great concentration allow us to craft healthy, intense wines, mainly based on Pignoletto, but not only. All are waiting to be discovered and tasted amidst the beautiful Bolognese hills.

Excellent welcome and helpfulness of the owner. Suggestive location with a view of the hills and vineyards. I came to taste the particular classic method with local grapes, pignoletto and trebbiano modenese, and I was not disappointed at all. Really quality production.

And to think that for me pignoletto was the wine of the celebration of unity, to be drunk without pretensions. I had to get to La Riva and in any case to Valsamoggia, to meet the magic of the wine producers and finally taste the best expression. Thank you so much.

A fantastic place situated in a beautiful landscape. We turned up unplanned and were welcomed with many many tastings. Settled on the Camelot 2015, it is superb. Really friendly and recommend a visit.

Excellent wines to taste starting from the classic method pignoletto, uncommon in the wine scene, up to the structured and easy-drinking reds. Alberto (owner of the farm), a very nice and friendly person, makes you spend the tasting hours pleasantly between a chat and a glass of wine.

A young company, but born from a great family experience. He stands out above all for a great passion for classic method sparkling wines, something not so common in these parts dominated by 'sparkling' wines. Absolutely surprising wines, even for the price. And there are great prospects for improvement in the future. The area is really beautiful! Absolutely worth a visit.
