Fourth Generation of Passionate Winemakers

Agricola Gian Piero Marrone is nestled in the renowned Langhe wine region of Piedmont, where winemaking has been a family tradition since 1910. Founded by Pietro Marrone, the winery is now in its fourth generation, led by his grandchildren: Valentina, Serena, and Denisa, along with Serena’s husband Marco. Together, they manage every aspect of the winery, from grape cultivation to wine production and customer engagement, all driven by a shared passion for crafting high-quality wines.

Commitment to Sustainable Vineyard Practices

The vineyards are the foundation of their winemaking philosophy. The family prioritizes sustainable practices, avoiding herbicides and utilizing mechanical tools to protect the vines from pests. They employ organic fertilizers and rely on manual labor to ensure that only the finest grapes are handpicked for vinification. The primary grape varieties cultivated include Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay, Moscato, Favorita, and Arneis, each contributing to the unique character of their wines.

Artisan Production and Aging Techniques

At the winery, grapes are carefully transported to prevent damage, ensuring the integrity of the fruit. Alcoholic fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures to preserve the wines' aromas and freshness. Following fermentation, the wines are aged in barrels and barriques, allowing for the development of complex flavors. This meticulous approach in both the vineyard and cellar results in exceptional wines that truly reflect the terroir of the Langhe region.

A wonderful experience! We had a tasting lunch featuring wines from the Marrone winery. The food was excellent, the views lovely, and the staff very knowledgeable (a special mention to Laura, who was so kind, thank you!). They also have great vegan options! Highly recommended!

Beautifully situated and well-maintained winery, friendly people, but we had the impression of being rushed through. Everything was nice and friendly, but not welcoming. Good wines at a fair price.

5 stars are not enough! We discovered this estate by chance where we could do wine tastings and it was a wonderful discovery. Professionalism, kindness, friendliness. A huge THANK YOU to our guide Matilde who made us experience with her in one afternoon her dedication to her work and passion. The company offers several types of tastings, it also allows lunch and dinner. We only focused on the tasting and we left with 3 bottles of their wine. We will definitely return.

Intrigued by a reel on Instagram we booked a tour of the winery and continued with dinner. The tour is explained very well, accessible to everyone and what shines through is enthusiasm and a beautiful story that has continued for four generations. The place is not on a main road, it is lost in the hills and you have to go there specifically, but it is absolutely worth it. The menu has both a traditional and an experimental part. The cuisine is of a very high standard, as is the attentive and friendly service. They are also very attentive to allergies and intolerances and I was able to enjoy, without anxiety, a beautiful dinner. The wines are excellent and Federico, who was our guide, is very good at giving advice and making you fall in love with each wine. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place!! Visit to the winery with Marta who excitedly described the history of the winery and managed to convey the family's passion for their business. Magnificent terrace that shows the whole environment. Sitting in the restaurant we chose a delicious menu and a tasting of five wines. For the wines Paola advised us showing all her expertise on the subject 🍷 accompanying her with a big smile!!! Very good menu, as a second course the one that was worth it was the rump!!! ♥️come visit them :)

Stunning place, full of history located on the hill of La Morra. The people who work there are very nice, very helpful and attentive to detail. Fantastic tour of the winery where all the phases were explained, from the harvest to the barrels. Once finished we went to the terrace where you have a fabulous 360 degree view of the Langhe. And finally came the tasting of their wines, on a plate or to taste. You can eat à la carte and live a unique experience. The shop completes the visit with its whites, rosés, reds, muscatels, grappas, etc. I really recommend it a lot! Reservation is mandatory to determine the times of the visit. Congratulations to all of you!
