Founded in 2000 by Giordano, Tenuta Biodinamica Mara is named in honor of his beloved wife. Nestled near the picturesque village of San Clemente, this winery benefits from the warm sun and stunning views of Romagna. The estate is dedicated to biodynamic practices, focusing on producing high-quality organic wines under the MaraMia DOC label.
The winery features three distinct cellar rooms, each serving a unique purpose. The Tinaia cellar houses six large oak vats and six cement tanks, all adorned with vibrant designs. The Bottaia serves as a wine sanctuary, showcasing barrels and a central concrete egg cask that creates a captivating atmosphere. In La Bariccaia, visitors can admire barriques and tonneaux embellished with Byzantine art. Spanning seven hectares, the vineyards cultivate exceptional Sangiovese di Romagna grapes, resulting in rich and flavorful red wines.
To promote ecological balance, the estate features various natural habitats, including 550 birdhouses, 70 bat shelters, and insect walls. The winery also offers event spaces for celebrations such as anniversaries, weddings, and birthdays, with two spacious rooms accommodating up to 90 guests. I was at Tenuta Mara for an event dedicated to lovers of good wine. We visited the cellar and the structure with Leonardo, who explained to us in detail how this company was born, expressing his great passion. I was also amazed by the beautiful works of art inside the property; we concluded with a tasting of three wines; Maramato, Maramia and Guiry. A wonderful experience that I definitely recommend to everyone!

Tenuta Mara is a magical place, I have been there several times before celebrating my wedding. Everything is always perfect: the location is well-kept and full of works of art everywhere; the staff is friendly and attentive, ready to meet every need; excellent cuisine, refined and with quality products; the excellent wine, a visit to the wine cellar, which is a real museum, is a must; the stylish and elegant rooms. I recommend it with full marks, both for a successful wedding, for a lunch/dinner with a beautiful view or even for a weekend of total relaxation.

From the first moment we entered the gates of the property we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding. A magical place full of works of art both inside and out. Framed by breathtaking views, attentive staff and top-notch cuisine. Not to mention the wine! We also chose it because it is beautiful even in bad weather and so it was: although it rained at the beginning, the guests didn't even notice and when the skies opened it was beautiful. We thank Tenuta Mara and all the staff for the wonderful party they helped us organize
