Mediterranean Taste from the South of France
True elegant Mediterranean taste! The ancient Gallo-Roman signal tower is proof of the estate’s 2,000-year existence. The winery covers a 13-hectare area between Carcassonne and Canal du Midi cities of the south of France. A clay-limestone cirque by Mediterranean garrigue surrounds the vineyard that prevents the vines against frost and winds. Chateau Tourril use a controlled production process with modern vinification techniques to create high-quality and long lasting wines. Wines are made from Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache, old Carignan, Roussanne.
Sustainable Focus at Chateau Tourril
Ortwin Kandler, a former Airbus pioneer, and Philippe Espeluque, owner of a local construction company bought the estate ages ago. In fact, significant investments overtime helped the vineyard master the modern technology of winemaking and sustainable agriculture. Then, Stephan Kandler, Ortwin’s son, continued with the vineyard management in 2014. His experience in high-level sporting events and high-tech projects help the company to grow on a global scale.
