The Best of Old and New

The estate dates from the 1800’s, however, it was comprehensively remodeled in 1996. Therefore, it brings together the best of the old and the new, and it’s a strategy that carries on into the vineyards as well. Château Montana wines are as diverse as the region from which they originate. They range from sweet, fruity Muscat, to the powerful but contemporary red wines. The vineyards also boast classic varieties such as Carignan, Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Patrick Saurel’s knows this region like the back of his hand and what grapes are uniquely suited to thrive in this terroir.
