The winery is led by Luca Amerio, a third-generation winemaker and oenologist. After completing his studies at the Alba School of Oenology, Luca began his career without a clear direction, but his passion for winemaking soon guided him.
While pursuing a degree in Viticulture and Oenology in Turin, Luca gained valuable experience as an agronomist at a historic Monferrato winery. In 2019, he took the reins of the family business, launching a new chapter for Tenuta il Nespolo.
At Tenuta il Nespolo, sustainable practices are a priority. The vineyards utilize organic fertilizers and green manures in alternating years, ensuring respect for the land and its ecosystem. This commitment to sustainable agriculture has earned the winery the SQNPI certification, highlighting its dedication to integrated farming methods.
