The Essence of Domaine de la Mordorée
Founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, Domaine de la Mordorée is a celebrated winery in Tavel, Rhône Valley. The name "Mordorée" refers to a unique color and symbolizes the woodcock bird, which is also the winery's emblem. The estate is known by several other names, including “La Dame Voyageuse,” “La Dame Rousse,” “La Remise,” and “La Reine des Bois,” each representing different cuvées. Spanning 58.5 hectares, the vineyard is now managed by Madeleine and Ambre Delorme following Christophe's passing in 2015.
