Bodegas Valdemar Winery boasts a remarkable history that began in 1889 on a quaint stone path in Oyón, Spain. Joaquín Martínez Bujanda, the winery's founder, started crafting wines in his hometown. His legacy continued with his son Marcelino and grandson Jesús, who, along with his son Jesús, established Bodegas Valdemar in the 1980s. Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Martínez Bujanda family are dedicated to producing exceptional Spanish wines.

Currently, Jesús Martínez Bujanda and his children, Jesús and Ana, are committed to innovating within the wine industry. We have made more than 15 visits to the winery. We really enjoyed yesterday's one at Bodegas Valdemar. Sofía presents the winery wonderfully, demonstrating great control and passion for the essentials. Since Valdemar owns a winery in the United States, the conversation often turns to other topics than those discussed on a visit of this type. It makes a visit to Valdemar different. The three-wine tasting is very good and also pairs with salchichón cheese and chocolate. In addition, being in Oion makes it easy to drive to Logroño later for a meal, which is very interesting for me. Valdemar wine is a wine that you always like and never feel bad about. And if you choose top-quality wines, you will definitely succeed. I definitely recommend visiting Bodegas Valdemar. And drinking their wine too.

We traveled to this winery from Madrid for the first time as a family with a child and a baby. The entire tour was excellent, and our guide, Sofía, was very nice. The tasting, explanations, and tasting were phenomenal. Our little one loved the sweets, cider, sausages, and cheeses. The only bad thing is that we called before we left. To find out if it was accessible with a stroller, they told us it was, but then we realized we had to climb several flights of stairs.
