Pioneers of Maturana Wines in the USA
A Rich Legacy Since 1889 – Bodegas Valdemar Winery
Bodegas Valdemar Winery boasts a remarkable history that began in 1889 on a quaint stone path in Oyón, Spain. Joaquín Martínez Bujanda, the winery's founder, started crafting wines in his hometown. His legacy continued with his son Marcelino and grandson Jesús, who, along with his son Jesús, established Bodegas Valdemar in the 1980s. Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Martínez Bujanda family are dedicated to producing exceptional Spanish wines.

They have introduced unique offerings, including the first white wine fermented in barrels and the first Maturana and White Tempranillo varietal wines.
