The winery and estate are a family run business which has been passed through the Miguel family for four generations
Wine has always been a part of the family identity and winemaking has been a passion that all the family members have shared over the years.
Lived through hard times
The wines produced at Bodega Miguel Jane winery first found their fame in the then colony of Cuba as the family made routes for their wines to cross the oceans and travel the world. One of the daughters of the founding members of the farm widened the planting area of Bodega Miguel Jane when she purchased additional land at Cal Coastas and Baltana Vella. The wine produced by the grapes from these vineyards have won various awards and recognitions for their high quality and unique flavours. The production of wine at Bodega Miguel Jane was briefly halted during the civil war when the family had to go into exile for an extended period of time.
Excellent wines from Penedes
After their return to the family land, the reconstruction of the winery began with the installation of new facilities that allowed for the bulk production of wine. As a result of this, in 2002 the first new look Bodega Miguel Jane wines were released to great positive response. The most popular wines produced aat the winery is the Bodega Miguel Jane Sauvignon Blanc, the Xarel.Lo, the Classic Penedes Sauvignon Blanc, the Classic Penedes Parellada and the Baltana Rosado.
