A Union of Four Winegrower Families

Vins El Cep was established in 1448 through the collaboration of four dedicated winegrowing families. Located in the Costers del Anoia region of Penedes, this winery is renowned for producing high-quality cavas and distinctive wines that reflect the unique terroir. As a pioneer in biodynamic and organic viticulture, the team at Vins El Cep is committed to harmonizing nature with winemaking, continuing a legacy that began over 500 years ago.

Parage Cualificado Old Vineyards

The winery boasts old vineyards situated in the hills of Anoia, known for their strong character essential for crafting terroir-driven wines. Approximately 70% of their vineyards are classified as Parage Cualificado, featuring local grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Parellada, Macabeo, and Xarel-Lo. Additionally, non-native grapes like Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive here, allowing for a diverse range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.

Commitment to Sustainability and Quality

Vins El Cep is a proud member of the Vinya Celler Masia association, which consists of family-owned wineries that produce wine exclusively from their own grapes. The winery holds BIOSPHERE and ANPHORY certifications, reflecting its dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Utilizing solar energy, each grape variety is vinified separately in small vats, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. The cavas and wines are bottled early in the year, with aging occurring in oak barrels at optimal temperatures, resulting in wines that are both refined and authentic.

Today we have been visiting the wineries and we have been surprised by Monica's kindness, professionalism and way of loving her work. She has explained everything to us perfectly, and it has been very gratifying how you can work and make visitors enjoy his passion. Thank you for your kindness Monica. Regarding the area, the winery and the visit has been magnificent. My wife and I have visited some wineries in Logroño and I have to say that sometimes we go to other places because of their fame and marketing and we don't look at what is ours, the 15th century winery, the 200 hectares of vineyards and how well cared for the winery was. winery next to the surroundings, it has nothing to envy from the outside, for me a 10 in visit a 10 in wines and cavas and we will surely return. Thank you for your kindness.

Amazing and astonishing experience! We arrived without any reservations and one of the owner gave us a private tour + wine tasting. We had an outside and inside visit with a lot of details. There are tapas served with the tasting, very tasty and local. I would recomment 10000% to go there.

A very good experience during our visit to Vins el Cep. The visit to the cellar, Monica with her hospitality and all her knowledge made us enter into this enriching experience. We recommend 100%, both the visit to the cellar and the wines and cavas, which we liked in all their varieties.
