Mestres is a family-run winery located in the Town Hall Square of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the historical capital of Cava. The family, winegrowers since 1312, has been making wine for over 30 generations. Casa Josep Mestres, a 16th-century family residence renovated in the 19th century, is listed as a Cultural Asset.
The Mestres family specializes in crafting gastronomic sparkling wines for some of the world's finest restaurants. Their sparkling wines are distinguished by their extended aging, complexity, and fine, creamy bubbles. Aging periods range from a minimum of four years to over 40 years in the bottle. All wines are handcrafted, with the second fermentation and aging taking place under natural cork stoppers. They are made in the Brut Nature style (without dosage) to express the vineyard and the passage of time with maximum purity.
The visits are always private and tailor-made to offer an exclusive and personalized experience.
