Discover the most fascinating wine experience in Lisbon!
Getting to know Portugal through its wines is an authentic and original way to embrace the culture of the country.
Our first tasting session takes place at the ancient Terreiro do Paço (Praça do Comércio), moving towards the oldest cafè in Lisbon, “Martinho da Arcada”, founded in 1782 e renames “Casa de cafè Italiana”. In the same place frequented in the past by statesmen, politicians, artists, writers, and poets (including Fernando Pessoa, the protagonist of Portuguese poetry and language), we will taste:
- two Portuguese white wines;
- one pastel de bacalhau (codfish fritters) and one croquet de carne (Beef croquette) both fresh and craft;
- one “special” Portuguese wine that deserves mystery and surprise!
Continuing our exploration walking along Rua da Alfandega and Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, you will be able to breathe and relive the old city with its monuments, stories, and alleyways in one of Portugal's most authentic neighborhoods, Alfama!
Then we are going to visit a typical Portuguese place-food (tasca) called "A Muralha" Vinhos e Tapas to start the second tasting session:
- two iconic Portuguese red wines;
- bread, olives, gratinated cheese, “Alheira” and "Chouriço" (Portuguese traditional sausages);
- finally one fresh and fragrant Portuguese fortified wine;
Images and illustrations that can convey knowledge and history will be used to support our tasting.
