Right Bank with Frederick
We had a fabulous tour yesterday with Frédéric in and around Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Having been born and raised there, he knows the region in a way no guidebook possibly could. He navigated tiny back roads through endless vineyards and introduced us to small, centuries-old Grand Cru estates such as Château Laniote that we never would have discovered on our own. What makes Frédéric special is that he doesn’t simply drive you from winery to winery — he teaches. He asks thoughtful questions, increases your wine IQ, and shares the history, traditions, personalities, and nuances of Bordeaux in a way that makes the region come alive. More importantly, he introduces you to people, places, and experiences that would be nearly impossible to find independently. By the end of the day, you don’t feel like you’ve taken a tour — you feel like you’ve been welcomed into Bordeaux itself. 🍷
