Exploring Douro and its Wines

Ready to explore Porto, through the old neighborhoods and narrow streets?

We will be the only ones on a All Day exploring Porto aboard our classic sidecar as I only do one experience per day.
Discover Porto from the perspective of a local and in a sidecar, at a slow pace and with lots of stops for stories, history and photos! Like a walking tour but covering 10x more and looking fabulous while doing it!
From your hotel, along the river Douro and all the way back to the Historical center.
I will use the old neighborhoods, with its narrow streets ( where no buses can go ), facades and viewpoints with beautiful vistas to tell you the history and local stories of Porto.

Now let's cross to Gaia, enjoy one the best views of the Porto before we make our way for lunch at a small fishermen's village.

After lunch we'll have an amazing private visit & tasting in the Oldest Port wine cellar, learn all about Port, it's history, visit the private cellars usually not open to the public and finish with a amazing tasting of several Ports.

Itinerary:

Welcome to Porto!

• I will meet you at your hotel and explain what's our plan for the day.
• From there we'll make our way through Sé neighborhood, down to the river and follow along the Douro as we make our way back to the Historical center, with stops for amazing vistas!
• We will start to explore up the hills of Porto, with their old neighborhoods like Miragaia, Virtudes, Vitória and Clérigos to see how the city grew in the last 1000 years.
• I'll use the facades, monuments and amazing vistas to show you Porto's history in places like Clérigos Tower, Galerias de Paris, Lello Bookstore, Carmo church, Aliados Avenue, Eiffel's bridge and Sé Cathedral, just to name a few of the highlights.
• Let's cross the river Douro to Gaia and enjoy a beautiful view of Porto before making our way to a small fishermen's village for lunch.
• After lunch we'll have a private Visit & Tasting at the Oldest Port cellar. Learn about their history and have a private tasting after visiting the cellars with 300 year old wines.

Now, it's time to drop you off back at your hotel.
