I am Michael and I live in Lagos, Portugal. I was born in Germany and have traveled to a lot of places. My degree is in Tourism Animation and Information. I work as a nature guide here, and I founded my company, Quimera Travel Experiences, in 2015. Since then, me and my partner and wife, Catarina, have had a lot of adventures. I started doing wine tours to show the quality of the Algarve wines, a unique region, for me, with a long history of wines. I had training as a wine sommelier when I was young, so I like to share a little bit of my knowledge. Since I started the wine tours, we have received travelers from all around the globe, who finish my tour deeply satisfied!

Quimera Travel Experiences was born at the end of 2015 as a tourist entertainment agency that specializes in nature tourism, offering guided trekking programs, tours, and other experiences. We seek to show the other side of the Algarve, outside the commercial tourism circuits, a more genuine Algarve with local products, its people, traditions, heritage, and culture. We aim, with a mission, to make people's dreams come true and expand their horizons. The value we create lies in the experiences we provide, as we have been creating original and personalized programs. Our main focus is on sustainability. In our activities, we sensitize people to the preservation of the environment, transmit our love for nature, and develop environmental education activities.
