Hi there! My name is Sarah and I am the founder of Grape Discovery. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled and lived abroad for most of the last 9 years. I have always sought out local wines and have found myself wine-tasting from Myanmar to New Zealand to France. Born out of this love of wine tasting and inspired by my favourite wine tours from around the world, Grape Discovery offers high-quality wine tours and tasting experiences in the UK. Rather than set up another minibus wine tour company, I wanted to do something different and find a way to make visiting wineries more economical and flexible. This means all of our tours are self-guided and fully customisable. I think it's the best way to tour wineries and hope you'll agree!
Grape Discovery is a small company with a mission to deliver unforgettable experiences that awaken the senses and inspire curiosity and passion for wine.
All of our tours are self-guided (no transport or guide is provided) and fully customisable. This means you have the freedom to choose how you travel and what you want to be included in your tour. It also means we can offer you a much more personal experience at a fraction of the price of restrictive minibus tours. We think it’s the best way to discover wineries so we hope you’ll think the same.
What makes our tours special? In a nutshell: They are not just tours, they are experiences. We believe that the best wine tours should take you to beautiful places, teach you something new, and (most importantly) provide an unforgettable and immersive wine-tasting experience. In our minds, there is nothing better than sitting in the sun (or snow), gazing out at a beautiful vineyard, and tasting wine made from the same vines that span the horizon. This blissfulness is the same magical feeling that inspired Grape Discovery. When you end one of our experiences with an overpowering desire to sell your belongings and buy a vineyard, we will know you have also felt that magic.
