Hi! I'm Susan, and welcome to Best of Spain Travel Planners! All of my life, I always wanted to live overseas, but just didn’t know where I wanted to go. I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, and although I explored living in other cities like Atlanta, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Austin, I never lost the desire to live abroad. In 2015, I had the opportunity to come to Barcelona to help a family practice English. After just a few days in Spain, I knew it was the place for me! I came back to Austin, sold everything I had and was back in Barcelona within a few months, and have been here ever since.

So over the last few years, I have been traveling throughout Spain with my partner, Margarita (also a Catalunya native) to research off-the-beaten-path towns, eateries, wineries, artisans, and outdoor activities to share with our clients. I have made connections with hundreds of locals throughout the country and created a fantastic team to offer their unique services and products to bring you an unforgettable trip to Spain.
