Balnaves of Coonawarra, A Small Winery with High Quality GrapegrowingBalnaves of Coonawarra is a family-owned, small winery located at the center of the renowned Coonawarra Terra Rossa strip. In 1991, the owners opened their cellar doors for wine sales, and in 1995, the Balnaves Family decided to set up their winery to consistently produce high-quality wines. Experienced winemaker, Pete Bissel, joined the winery not long after and supervises the work. Balnaves Winery’s outer building, constructed under the guidance of Steven Herbert, also won a major architectural award. The winemakers produce wines only from the grapes grown in their own vineyards. …
