Wine Tasting at the Heart of the Wittmann Estate
Discover the world of German wine in an authentic setting: our vinotheque, located in the heart of our estate in Rheinhessen. During this guided tasting, you will experience 6 to 8 carefully selected wines and gain an insight into our winery, our region, and the diversity of German wine culture.
Over the course of approximately 60 to 75 minutes, we will introduce you to the character of Rheinhessen, Germany’s largest wine-growing region, and explain what makes our vineyards, grape varieties, and winemaking traditions so special. You will learn more about the history and philosophy of our estate, the importance of origin and terroir, and the role Germany plays as a wine-producing country.
The tasting takes place in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it suitable both for wine enthusiasts and for guests who are just beginning to explore the world of wine. Depending on availability, tastings can be held in either German or English.
After the tasting, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite wines directly from the estate and take a piece of Rheinhessen home with you.

We had a small wine tasting today without appointment, which was no problem. Our tasting guide was very helpful in English and knowledgeable about the wines, which are very good. So a visit (and purchase of some wines) is highly recommended.
