Cascina Pian d’Or and Their Successful Moscato Wines
Cascina Pian d’Or Winery is located in Mango, an excellent location for growing Moscato d’Asti DOC wines. The winery is a family-owned and operated, now run by the third generation of the family. Since the early 20th century, the Barbero Family has kept their traditions and are working on their vineyards to grow the best Moscato grapes.
The Winery Owner ad His Mission
The owner, Valter Barbero, and his wife, Lina, have a lot of experience in viticulture and dedicate their work to the cultivation of Moscato grapes and using them to make an aromatic, sweet, and unique wine. At the beginning of the 1990s, Valter decided to transform Moscato grapes into wine to capture the grapes’ freshness and sweetness in a glass.
Cascina Pian d’Or Winery wines are loved worldwide and have had great success in international markets.
The International Recognition of the Winery
The 20-hectare vineyards are located on hills with significant sun exposure. A lot of care is taken in the vineyards to grow ripe grapes. In addition to an ideal terroir, Valter Barbabro uses traditional methods in the vineyards and allowing their full expression to come alive. Grapes are handpicked when fully ripe and taken to the cellar where their modern equipment and technology process the grapes and produce their famous wines. Their passion and commitment towards winemaking have earned them great respect in many countries, including the USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, and China.
