We were really impressed by this winery, we were well looked after, tried wonderful wine and had a delicious mixed platter with cheese and sausage. This winery only opened in December but we really liked the complex, it's very chic and there will soon be a fun little golf course there too.

I have had the privilege of visiting Benguela Cove multiple times, bringing various groups from Johannesburg and overseas, and each visit has been extraordinary. The estate's stunning beauty, accessibility, and exceptional hospitality, including meeting the gracious owners, have consistently impressed me and my guests. Last December, I hosted a group of 40 for my birthday, and the experience was remarkable, with guests so enthralled that they suggested extending our visit. Their wines, MCC, and platters consistently exceeded expectations, leading to glowing feedback even from those who typically prefer red wine. Over the years, I have purchased and shared many bottles of their Chardonnay and MCC with friends across provinces, who have provided highly positive reviews. Each visit has left me with a collection of beautiful photos and videos showcasing the estate throughout the seasons. The wine tasting experience has always been excellent, though extended time would have allowed for a broader tasting range and increased purchases. I look forward to returning with another group, spending more time at the estate, and enjoying a stay in one of their luxurious villas in the near future.

It really is a beautiful setting and one can certainly while away the hours in this setting and just take in the scenery. What was lacking was an ambassador or a reception or anyone friendly at the door. There’s loads to see do and experience but if it’s your first visit you’d never know. We wondered about fir /5 minutes and then bumped into Sam and asked him what to do as we had never been there. What a special man and he was so enthusiastic and interesting. We joined him on a cellar tour and a wonderful wine tasting. We will certainly go back

Dropped in for a quick wine tasting and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. It’s a beautiful setting and we were looked after by Sam, head of the wine team. So knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. It was great to hear about the history of the farm and their ethos, and how they use climate and soil to best advantage. Particularly liked the Syrah and Bordeaux blend and bought a few. Looking forward to returning for a Masterclass or one of the wine events that Sam is hosting.

2nd visit to Benguela. And enjoyed it as much as the first. Had a rematch at the Pirate Putt Putt. One of the best courses I've seen. Also love that you can grab a drink whilst u play. Then popped in for a wine tasting. Super plush decor. Very comfy open space. Waiter was lovely. Took good care of us. Ordered a cheese board that was HUGE. I would have preferred crackers over bread with it, but personal preference. And highlight of the day was when the resident pet came and made himself comfy on me.
