The Legacy of Crotta Winery Since 1930

Founded in 1930 by Austrian immigrant Wilhelmina Ritz and his wife, Crotta Winery has been a family affair for generations. Today, their grandchildren—Claudia, Carlos, and Carolina—carry on the tradition of crafting outstanding wines. By blending traditional winemaking techniques with innovative ideas, the Crotta family continues to produce a variety of varietal and dual-varietal wines that set them apart in the industry.

The vineyards flourish in the Central Valley, where Carlos Eduardo Crotta cultivates a wide range of grape varieties, including the bold Malbec, Bonarda, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo, as well as premium Chardonnay and Torrontés.

Discover the Impressive Cellar at Crotta Winery

The Crotta wine cellar is housed within a striking 33-meter high tower, capable of storing 450,000 liters of wine. Designed by Carlos Leopoldo Crotta, this tower features large wine vats crafted with precision. For aging and storage, the winery uses barrels made by the renowned Bajda Family from Slovenia. A standout feature is the unique Dionijiz Tonel barrel, a true treasure of the winery.
