Experience the rich heritage of the Counts of Florida Blanca in Castilla-La Mancha.
The Story of Finca Loranque
Finca Loranque is a historic winery located in the province of Toledo, Spain, with roots tracing back to Roman times. In the Middle Ages, the Señorío de Loranque El Grande gained prominence, as land ownership was a symbol of power and wealth. The estate's vineyards, established in the 11th century, laid the foundation for winemaking in Toledo. By the 18th century, local noble families recognized the estate's potential and built a winery on the grounds. The Counts of Florida Blanca owned Finca Loranque for generations, producing Grenache wines fermented in traditional clay jars. In 1981, the Diaz Bermejo family acquired the estate, aiming to restore its former glory.
A New Era of Winemaking
Since 1981, Finca Loranque has focused on reviving its winemaking tradition and creating exceptional wines. After years of vineyard preparation and production trials, the first vintage of this new era was released in 2002. The winery emphasizes the unique characteristics of its terroir, backed by a skilled team of oenologists dedicated to quality. Today, Finca Loranque offers a range of wines that reflect the estate's rich history and the distinct flavors of the Castilla-La Mancha region, making it a must-visit for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.
