The Estonian Winery

Estonia may not be the first country that comes to mind when thinking about winemaking, but it boasts a growing number of unique wineries, including Habaja Viinavabriku. Nestled in the picturesque Harjumaa region, this winery specializes in crafting artisanal wines using local berries, fruits, and plants. The cool climate of Estonia, the northernmost cereal-growing country, provides an ideal environment for cultivating a variety of ingredients that contribute to the distinct flavors of Estonian wines.

Since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, Estonia's wine culture has flourished. The demand for wine has led to an increase in both local production and imports from around the globe. Habaja Viinavabriku stands out by focusing on traditional methods and local resources, offering visitors a taste of Estonia's rich agricultural heritage. Whether you are a wine enthusiast or a curious traveler, a visit to this winery promises a unique experience filled with local flavors and stories.

Plan your visit to Habaja Viinavabriku and savor the essence of Estonian winemaking, where every bottle tells a story of the land and its people.

Excellent!!! Skating on the pond, eating wood oven pizza, & drinking beautiful rubarb brut in the winter sun! A great way to spend an afternoon 😁

An authentic place with the opportunity to taste, drink and buy homemade wine. You can also take a raft ride on a small pond. Be sure to order pizza from the wood-fired oven. IT'S THE BOMB! Very tasty! For children there are swings and a trampoline.

Amazing little gem in the middle of nowhere. Super cozy. Nice staff. Pizza is delicious. Don’t miss to stop by for a bite, if you are in the area.

Really nice place, good wine, a perfect easy escape from Tallinn! Came here with my wife, parents, and puppy. Easy to get to by car and park. Greeted by someone who spoke English, who set us up with a flight of tastings (I didn't drink) plus good food. Just a perfectly tranquil setup with good quality liquids, fantastic option in warmer months.

A great place with a very unique atmosphere! I highly recommend it, I went on an adventure in Raplamaa with my friends and tried the whole menu there, all the dishes were wonderful! And the place itself is of course an experience in itself! :) :)
