L’Armangia: A Delightful Winery Nestled Between Langhe and Monferrato

L’Armangia is situated in the picturesque region of Piedmont, between the renowned wine areas of Langhe and Monferrato. This stunning landscape, characterized by its aromatic richness, offers an ideal setting for wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Vineyards Amidst Rolling Hills

The vineyards of L’Armangia span the municipalities of Canelli, Moasca, San Marzano Oliveta, and Castel Boglione, covering approximately 10 hectares. The terrain features terraced vineyards, lush oak and acacia woods, and charming hilltop villages. The winery's history dates back to 1850 when Ignazio Giovine acquired vineyards in Sant’Antonio, Canelli, a prime area for Moscato d’Asti production. In 1988, the current owner revitalized the winery, aiming to restore Canelli's reputation for exceptional wines.

Wines that Reflect Piedmont's Terroir

Each wine from L’Armangia captures the unique essence of its vineyard and region. The winery produces a variety of wines, including Barbera, Moscato, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cortese, Albarossa, and Pinot Nero. Each wine showcases the diverse terroir of Piedmont. At L’Armangia, you can taste distinctive red, white, sparkling, and dessert wines while meeting the dedicated owner behind these exceptional creations.

We visited this producer for a visit to the wine cellar and a tasting of local products. The producer offers a good selection of wines, all of which are extremely high quality and available at fair prices. We were looked after by the owner, who proved to be a technically competent person and very helpful to us. Absolutely positive opinion, we will definitely come back.

Excellent and extensive wine tasting. We started with the sparkling wine, moved on to the white wine and finally to the red wine, accompanied by a delicious platter. The owner fascinated us with the detailed explanation of each type of wine we tried. Fantastic experience and highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I, along with two other couples, visited this winery on Sunday 27 October. Mrs. Giuliana was really kind and helpful, she told us the history of the winery and answered all our questions. The tasting left us speechless: the wines were really special and the value for money was really excellent. We have done many tastings, but this is definitely in our top 3! We warmly thank Mrs. Giuliana and, even if not present, Mr. Ignazio for the wonderful experience. We will definitely come back.
