Mountain Brook Vineyards: A Family Legacy in Western North Carolina
Mountain Brook Vineyards is a charming family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque Tyron foothills of Western North Carolina. Established in 2002, the vineyard initially focused on growing a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. For several years, the grapes were sold to nearby wineries, but as the vines matured, the winery began crafting its own wines.
Events and Gatherings at the Winery
In 2012, Mountain Brook Vineyards opened its doors to the public with a welcoming tasting room. A significant renovation in 2018 transformed the space, adding indoor seating for 80 guests and outdoor pavilions that can accommodate up to 200 people. The expansive lawn is perfect for hosting concerts, movie nights, and various community events, making it a vibrant gathering spot.
During this time, the winery also introduced its second brand, Discovery Heights Vineyards, featuring wines made from grapes sourced globally.
Weddings at Mountain Brook Vineyards
Recently, Mountain Brook Vineyards has taken exciting steps to enhance its offerings, including the construction of a new winery building designed specifically for weddings. The venue now features a dedicated wedding area surrounded by vines and one of the largest fire pits in North Carolina. Plans are also underway to expand the vineyard, ensuring a beautiful backdrop for special occasions.

We had a fantastic experience at Mountain Brook Vineyards! The wine was absolutely wonderful, and the breathtaking views made it even better. The live music added such a great vibe to the afternoon. Our server, Tanner, provided excellent service — she was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day, and we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Loved visiting a few months ago for October they’re pet friendly and had a food truck the day we were there, the caramel apple sangria was amazing, definitely will visit again, the view was gorgeous

Spent the weekend in Marion camping and this was on the recommendation list. We tried a variety of wines and enjoyed all of them. The fire pit was amazing and we met an awesome couple because of this feature. Highly recommend.

Really beautiful vineyard. Our sommelier Eric was friendly and well versed in the wines and their origins. Very interesting history on the vineyards. My favorite was the sparkling blanc de noir! This would be a beautiful spot to have a wedding :)

We visited this vineyard from Pittsburgh for a friend's wedding party, and it was an amazing experience. The place was absolutely stunning and everyone we encountered was very nice. The beautiful setting and warm hospitality made the event truly special. Highly recommend this vineyard for any occasion!
