Overhex Wines is the 5th largest exporter in South Africa
Gerhard van der Wath, a qualified lawyer, and entrepreneur established Overhex Wines in 2006. The family estate is in Western Cape’s Worcester town and has grown a lot in recent times. It is the 5th largest exporter of bottled wine in South Africa currently. The company has a good relationship with top growers of the area, and the diversity of terroir from where they source the grapes allows their wines to have a great taste and aroma. Adaptability and quality are the main focus here.
Grapes sourced from the best vineyards
Overhex takes pride in its market-driven approach, and the team strives to keep up with global wine trends. As they get their grapes from some of the best Western Cape vineyards, there are a plethora of flavors in their wines. Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah are mainly used to make red and white wine here. The best grapes are brought and vinified under the guidance of international winemakers. The diversity of grapes helps in making complex wines of superb quality.
