Located just a two-hour drive northeast of Bangkok, PB Valley Estate is easily accessible via a well-maintained six-lane highway. This stunning winery is nestled on the edge of Khao Yai National Park, marking the heart of the Khao Yai wine region.

The Khao Yai Wine Region

PB Valley Estate is a year-round destination, benefiting from a cooler climate than Bangkok due to its mountainous surroundings. The ideal time to visit is between November and March, during the dry season. The estate's grape harvest occurs from late January to early March, while fresh table grapes are available throughout the year.

Wine Varieties and Growing Conditions

The estate cultivates several grape varieties, including Shiraz, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, and Colombard. Pruning takes place in late September to early October, with the harvest typically starting at the end of January. Additionally, the Maroon Seedless table grape variety, originally from Australia, thrives in a protected area of the estate.

Vineyard Tours and Dining Experience

PB Valley Estate offers guided vineyard and winery tours, showcasing the beauty of the Khao Yai wine region as a unique tourist destination. Visitors can also enjoy a meal at the Great Hornbill Winery Restaurant, which features a scenic country-style setting and a diverse menu of Thai, Western, and fusion dishes, along with delicious pizzas and snacks.

The 2.5 hour drive from Bangkok was worth it. The winery is beautifully situated, the wines are really good for Thailand, and in addition to a good tour there is a shop and good food options

Had an amazing day with the tour team at the PB valley Khao yai winery. They had really good English speaking guide, showing us around and explaining in detail about the wine brewing process. We got to hand pick fresh grapes from the farm as well, which was a great experience.

Vineyard tour and wine tasting. Overall the atmosphere is very good. It is worth the price. You can see the vineyards. See the machinery. See the part where they make wine. and taste some wine. It takes 70 minutes. Return to the welcome point. There are a variety of food to eat. I recommend Miang Bai Nguop. It is very delicious. You should try it at least once because it is really good.

Taking a tour to see the vineyards was a lot of fun. The older folks provide very good service and knowledge. Little Lisa leads the way the whole trip so come and see. It's worth the price. There is also wine tasting. If you are a kid, there will be grape juice for you.

A great place to gain knowledge about wine. We are taken in a buggy car, around the vineyard and to the winery. Finally a wine tasting with snacks

We missed the wine tasting tour time (better to get tickets ahead), so we instead enjoyed the food at the restaurant. We had pizza, ice cream and wine. It is a great place to have a slow meal and wine with friends. They have ample dining space, with an open kitchen where they prepare the pizza. The staff were attentive and easily had wine suggestions based on our preferences. Will visit again, hopefully will catch the wine tasting tour next time!

It is one of the few wineries in Thailand. As soon as I entered the entrance I was told to take a tour of the winery (350 THB), but I did not take the tour. I went there just for lunch, but I had to wait for about 30 minutes because there were no customers booked even though the seats were empty, so I recommend booking in advance if you have a set time to arrive. Although it is not on the menu, you can order a wine tasting set (3 types) for 299 THB. The variety of dishes offered at the restaurant is small. The taste is average.
