Triantafyllopoulos, a Winery Overlooking the Beautiful Aegean Sea
Nestled in the center of the charming island of Kos, beautified by Dikaios Mountain, Triantafyllopoulos Winery is based in the South Aegean region of Greece. At the winery, guests are welcome throughout the year to admire the beautiful Aegean Sea while sipping on Malagouzia or any other delicious locally made wine.
After many years of hard work, Triantafyllopoulos Winery opened its doors in 1996. The family began crafting excellent Greek wines under the guidance of Prof. Dimitris Stavrakas. The actual construction of the winery building started in 2001. The winery attained the PGI status of its wines in 2007 and began producing many award-winning wines on an international level. The winery is an ISO certified wine estate, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.
Today, Triantafyllopoulos Winery is a new age winery where modern and traditional aesthetics are combined to produce high-quality wines.
Expansion of the Winery and Art Gallery
The owners expanded the winery production over the years, and today the estate owns 12 acres of vineyards, with a large array of grape varieties are grown. Along with Malagouzia, the owner cultivates Syrah, Dikaios, Chardonnay, and Iliodoron. After handpicking, the grapes of Triantafyllopoulos Winery are converted into red, white, and rosé wines, together with some dessert wines.
Advanced presses and stainless steel tanks for fermentation have been installed on the ground floor of the winery. The first floor is dedicated to French oak barrels, lined up systematically for the wines’ aging. Every process is carried out under optimum temperature conditions while paying attention to detail. Inside the winery, there is a permanent gallery where tourists can witness the art of Greek painters.
