A Taste of Uzbekistan's Wine Heritage
How It All Began
The story of Uzumfermer Winery began in 2008 when the family acquired a modest 1 hectare of land. Today, the estate has expanded to 21 hectares, designed as a serene wine getaway. Nestled in the Kibray district of Tashkent, Uzumfermer is not just a winery; it offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, surrounded by the beauty of an exotic garden.
The Vineyards
Covering 15 hectares, the vineyards at Uzumfermer are home to over 100 varieties of table grapes and more than 20 technical grape varieties. Notable among them are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Rizamat, and Hadji Murat. The winery employs eight renowned grape-growing techniques, producing an impressive 100,000 liters of wine each year. This commitment to quality reflects the rich winemaking tradition of Uzbekistan, making it a must-visit for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.
