Between the Sky and Sea

In the area Megalochori, in Santorini, lying above the port of Athinios, between the sky and the sea, is located the Venetsanos Winery,

The oldest vineyard on the island, which has been constantly maintaining its long tradition in wine production. The impressive multi-level building, constructed into the very land of Thera, blends harmoniously with the natural environment. The outdoor spaces have panoramic views of Caldera Bay, the Volcano, and the small islands.

We try to ensure you enjoy every moment you spend at Venetsanos Winery, hospitality that will make your visit special and memorable.

Magnificent view of the caldera, the terrace is great. The snack and cheese too. Our tasting went well, however the visit to the vineyard is not included in the tasting package...

We had our wedding ceremony in Venetsanos and it is such a stunning and romantic place with amazing caldera views especially during sunset. I was working with Viola and she is responsive, helpful and the best. We enjoyed the wine there as well especially the white wine but all their wines are good. We love it and definitely will recommend.

We took part of a 6- wine tasting menu that was accompanied by a plate of the most amazing cheeses I had in my life. The ambiance, the view, the wine, the service, and the food, everything was perfect. We had a lovely time during our visit! It was a great idea to start our vacation in Santorini at this side of the island. The wine was one of the best we've tried. The view of the caldera was maginificent, esp watching the sunset. The whole experience was very relaxing. We highly recommend visiting Vetlnetsanos Winery!

We stopped at Venetsanos Winery as part of a Santorini wine tour. THIS is the spot to catch a truly incredible Santorini sunset. Aside from having great wine, this winery also boasts both a new wine production facility and their historic production facility that you can tour. The historic production facility used gravity and four levels to make their wine and it was incredible to see where and what they used to do to make wine. The views from the tasting area as well as the wines are not to be missed. Make this your sunset spot on at least one evening if you can!

Beautiful, large vineyard with perhaps one of the most beautiful views in Santorini. The wines are good and produced on a large scale. The tastings come with a generous plate of charcuterie and cheese if you choose that option.
