Palmento San Nicolò: A Vineyard Retreat Like No Other

Nestled along a peaceful country road in the stunning Monte San Nicolo vineyard, Palmento San Nicolò offers a one-of-a-kind stay in a historic setting. The property features two charming buildings: a delightful Palmento from 1902, which once housed a traditional wine press, and a quaint outbuilding that served as a tool shed. These spaces are connected by a modern corten structure with a slatted roof, creating a shaded open-plan kitchen and dining area that leads to a beautiful terrace and a 4m x 7m saltwater swimming pool, crafted from lava stone to mirror the vibrant colors of the Etna coastline.

Surrounding the property is a tranquil fish pond adorned with aquatic plants and koi, along with a cozy brazier for cooler evenings. The terrace wraps around the house, providing both sun and shade throughout the day, making it the perfect spot for relaxation.

The inviting Palmento maintains its historical charm. The upper level features a queen-size bed nestled in the original grape pressing vat, offering breathtaking views of the vineyard cascading down the crater. This level also includes a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large shower. Below, a cozy sitting room occupies the vat where the pressed wine once flowed.

The second room, named ‘Vincenzo’, features an extra-large king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower that boasts spectacular vineyard views. It has a private entrance from the kitchen and dining area for added convenience.

A utility room is also available, equipped with a washing machine, gas boiler, and storage space for your comfort.

Designed by architect Ciro, this retreat offers guests a peaceful oasis amidst the vineyard, with stunning views of the sea to the southeast and the majestic summit of Mount Etna to the northwest.
