Albariño wine discovery: Rías Baixas & Rosal sub-regions tour with tastings, Furancho lunch, and scenic Galician coastline
Embark on a comprehensive journey through the Albariño wines crafted in the two primary sub-regions of the esteemed Rías Baixas appellation. Traverse the picturesque Salnés Valley, where three distinct and carefully curated wineries await, offering a delightful array of 100% Albariño varietals for your tasting pleasure. Immerse yourself in the authentic ambiance of a traditional "Furancho" for lunch, deeply rooted in the region's winemaking heritage, all while soaking in the breathtaking vistas of the rias, our local fjords. Conclude your day by returning to either your accommodation in Vigo or Santiago, or opt to savor the mesmerizing views and culinary delights of Bayona, indulging in a stay at its renowned Parador.
Continuing the adventure, the following day will see us tracing the untamed southern coast of Galicia until we reach the Portuguese border. Here, amidst the Rosal sub-region, discover wines crafted with a distinct flair, benefiting from a milder climate and unique production techniques. Explore three carefully selected wineries in this area, perhaps enjoying lunch alongside the passionate winemakers or venturing across the border to Portugal for a culinary experience at one of its renowned landmarks.
Both itineraries feature visits to two wineries in the morning and one in the afternoon, culminating in a return to our starting point.
