Bagratrip

My name is Sébastien Iwanski, and I'm the writer, content creator and travel designer behind Bagratrip, the first French-language blog about Georgia and soon the Caucasus. Originally from Cannes, France, I left my homeland at the age of 25 to discover the world with my future wife. I settled in Georgia in 2022 after travelling extensively in 2019 and 2021. I chose Georgia to start because the country combines many aspects that attract me in life. There's a lot of entrepreneurial freedom, a rich gastronomy and excellent wines. My first experience with Georgian wine dates back to 2010, with a sweet red wine. I was immediately hooked. I then went on vacation twice, which enabled me to discover the full range of Georgian wine aromas. Between the early morning tastings and the wines in plastic bottles, I have some excellent memories. In 2022, I took part in my first Georgian wine festival, and it was a revelation! Now, seeing the low profile of Georgian wines accross the world, I decided to remedy this by sharing my passion, and the first Georgian wine book in french was born. This 430 pages guide is an encyclopedy giving the reader all the tips to understand the complexity of this wine country. Beside, I can also accompany wine professionals to trade shows. Waiting to meet you, Gaomarjos !
