We will pick you up form your hotel in Athens for a day trip to Nemea wine region, the biggest and most interesting wine region in Greece. For pick-ups from points other from the Athens city centre please consult us.

Tour plan

This private tour is not only about wine. On the way to Peloponnese you will have the chance for a short stop to see the Corinth canal, a man-made canal with great importance since the ancient times. Next, you will visit the archaeological site of Mycenae, the birth place of Greek civilisation, one of the most interesting historical sites in Greece and a must visit for every traveler. After Mycenae you will have the chance to visit 2 wineries in the Nemea region. The wineries specifics depend on the date you want to visit so there will be some coordination with us about the list of possible wineries to visit. We always aim for the most interesting ones though if you have specific wineries in your mind we will target to visit your choices. In any case you will taste some of the most representative Nemea (red) wines and all other quality labels each winery has to offer and learn about the rich wine heritage of the region.

The tour concludes with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant offering authentic Greek food and extensive wine list. Alternatively in short distance from Nemea we can visit a seaside restaurant with some of the best fresh fish and other authentic Greek delicacies.

All in all this is an 8+ hours day trip from Athens full of history, wine and culinary tradition. An experience to treasure forever.

Time plan

A gross time plan of the tour is 3+ hours driving back and forth from Athens and in between intermediate destinations, 1 hour at each location (Mycenae + 2 wineries) and 2 hours for lunch. You will be chauffeured in a luxury Mercedes-Benz 7-seater minivan .

What is included/What is not included

Price covers all costs related to the tour guide and the vehicle.

Price does not include your food and drinks, admission tickets to site and museum (€12 pp) and the wine tastings. There are various prices among the visitable wineries. Roughly expect a price between €15-30 per person for a wine tasting session of 5 to 6 labels.

The tour is private for your group only so it is customisable to your desires upon further arrangement.
