Axe Hill is a booutique cellar situated on the Wesoewer (West Bank) on the outskirts of Calitzdorp. We stock the Axe Hill white port. When Mike Neebe, their winemaker, is in town we organise private cellar visits. When he is not in town his wines are available to purchase from the Blue Bottle Liquor.

If you are interested in special, very good wines in Calitzdorp, you should definitely visit this winery. Wines that absolutely deserve a 5+ mention. Small wine estate but it is clear that people work here with passion. Enthusiastic winemaker with passionate employee. The large domains in Calitzdorp are known, but it would be a shame not to visit this small domain because we had one surprise after another. More than recommended. Deservedly very positive mention in wine guides.

Small artisanal winery producing wonderful wines, mostly made from the local Portuguese grape varieties. The winemaker gives an entertaining and knowledgeable presentation of his craft.
