On Saturday 1/18/25, together with other friends, I was able to visit the Giovanni Menti winery in Gambellara. We were looked after by Dr. Valeria Rigo who, with excellent preparation, accompanied us to visit the “Grecanico Dorato” vineyards, which I did not know that we liked the definition Garganega, cultivated according to “the Pergola Vicentina”, during the trip he explained to us the organic cultivation methods that we were then able to ascertain during the tastings, highlighting the aromas, the taste and the alcohol content which in a truly organic wine must not be increased, in compliance with the road code, among other things. Finally, we were able to conclude the tastings with “Il Granaio”, a delicious passito wine obtained after a long drying of the grapes tied and hung with high artisanal technique in the old family granary.
