Write a reviewAll I can say is wow...we have been trying for awhile to visit this wine estate but somehow can never get through over the years...but this estate is something else...from the moment you drive through the estate & approach the lake & house you realise this estate is special...the location could not be better...with sweeping views over the Elgin valley, lake & mountains the venue is totally unique...there is no equal...there are no other estates close by as it dominates the entire region...the service was really friendly by our host...she went out of her way to make us comfortable...the wines on the estate were good...would definitely return...a few things to take note...we called in advance to book the tasting & I mentioned to the guy that answered that we would be coming in 30 mins...we get to the gate buzzing the buzzer for 10 mins no one answers...there is no reception to call again but luckily another lady was leaving & we managed to get in...the path to the house/tasting area is on the paved road...do'nt follow the signs to the cellar...if you driving on the dirt road...you are not on the correct path...

We had a wonderful experience at Lothian. The setting was very distinctive and impressive and the wines were excellent. The wine tasting itself was a real pleasure and we had plenty of time with our host who was very generous with his time. Definitely a place to revisit.
10 years ago, we hosted our wedding at Lothian Vineyards. Yesterday, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband and I decided to revisit Lothian. The house and its surroundings are still "utterly" breathtaking and very well maintained. The manager Wendy was so friendly and welcoming. She really made us feel special and celebrated. It was truly a blissful and memorable experience. The wines were top-notch (as always). Thank you, Lothian Vineyards. Your hospitality is unmatched.

An absolute must visit - their hospitality matches their wine, and wow their wine are good! Reminiscent of Burgundy Red and White, you just cannot have enough. Thank you Gavin for giving us an experience of a lifetime! Would definitely recommend you go visit!

The Lothian Vineyards is situated in Overberg just outside of Grabouw. This venue is also used for weddings functions and film shoots. The absolute view at the foot of the mountain with vineyards and dams has an endless variety of beautiful views at any moment on the farm. All activities of farming continue on a daily basis
