Chateau Eugenie is a family-owned winery with a rich heritage dating back to 1470. It is believed that the wines produced here were enjoyed by Russian Emperor Peter I, who introduced Cahors as a ceremonial wine in the Russian Empire. The Couture family has passed down their expertise in crafting exceptional Cahors wines through generations.
Your visit includes a captivating overview of the winery's history and the story behind the Cahors appellation. Engage in an interactive tasting of their AOP Cahors (Malbec) alongside a choice of one IGP wine. Enjoy delicious pairings of duck “Fritons,” a regional delicacy, and the winery’s own walnuts. The guided tasting features a comparison of four AOP Cahors wines from a recent vintage with an older vintage (over 10 years), providing a unique perspective on the evolution of flavors.
As a special gift, each guest will receive a bottle of their cuvée Tradition (37.5cl) and a cork-made notebook to take home.
