A "Vendemmia," or grape harvest, is one of the most captivating experiences you can have in Puglia during the harvest season. This event not only offers a fun way to learn about local wine culture and production methods but also immerses you in the rich traditions of the region.

The harvest season runs from late August to October, marking the most exhilarating time of the year for wine enthusiasts. The atmosphere during Vendemmia is truly one-of-a-kind, filled with excitement and community spirit.

Experience the Harvest with Local Experts

Join us at Torleanzi Winery for an unforgettable grape harvest experience in Salento. Our morning sessions begin in the vineyards, where you will meet Giuseppe, the sommelier and owner of the winery. He will guide you through the fascinating world of viticulture, sharing insights about the grape varieties and vine cultivation. After a brief introduction, you will have the chance to pick grapes using your own scissors, with assistance from Giuseppe and the skilled winemakers around you.

Wine Tasting in the Historic Masseria

After the harvest, enjoy a tasting of three exquisite wines crafted from the very grapes you helped collect! This guided wine tasting, held in our historic Masseria, promises to be a memorable experience for all wine lovers.

During the tasting, you will sample three native Apulian grape varieties, paired with traditional baked goods like tarallini, olives, and Torleanzi's extra virgin olive oil. You will also hear captivating stories about the winery's history and the local community of San Pietro Vernotico. Finally, take a tour of the beautifully restored Masseria Torleanzi and learn about its unique heritage.

The wines you will taste include: Torleanzi I.G.P. Negroamaro Rosè, Torleanzi I.G.P. Susumaniello, and Torleanzi I.G.P. Primitivo.

Absolutely stunning property! Feels like you’re in a movie. The wines are delicious, the tour is so interesting! Rooms are gorgeously designed, very clean and spacious. You can relax by the pool and watch a beautiful sunset, or take a bike and ride through the vines, the scenery is breathtaking!!! And of course, the food is prepared by a wonderful Italian lady and it tastes like heaven. Definitely recommend!

Winery with a historic tower. Lovingly restored. Wonderful pool area in the middle of the vineyards (still open in October). Very tastefully decorated. The menu must be ordered in advance if you want to eat on site (you will be contacted automatically). Starter, first and second courses and dessert. We ate very well! Very stylish breakfast buffet, great selection and very good quality. The winery is very close to the highway to Brindisi, but the road is not visible or audible. Possibility to rent bicycles for free (depending on availability). It is about 15 minutes by car to Brindisi and about 5 minutes to the sea (car). We really appreciated the personal service and think the complex is beautiful!

My family and I had an incredible wine tasting at Torleanzi by Giuseppe, the owner. He gave us a tour of the masseria, its grounds and then actually into the vineyards to teach us all about the terroir and wine making process. He shared with us so generously about the history of the place and his family. I’ve never been to a wine tasting like it - where you receive so much context and history. It was such a rich experience. The wines themselves were outstanding, and the food provided was some of the best we had while in Puglia. I’ll never forget the truffle salami! Thank you Giuseppe, we can’t wait to come back.

This place is pure magic. We stayed in the tower suite with private terrace and jacuzzi and it was bliss. The tower is from 1500s and it is so special. Windows look out onto the vineyards and we couldn't get enough of the view from the terrace. Food and wine were delicious, staff were so friendly and the wine tour is a must from the wonderful Giuseppe. You learn about the history of this 5th generation family vineyard. We rented really good bicycles and cycled to the coast. Zoki is a MUST if you're there. Fresh fish caught daily is served raw with waves lapping out of the window. Truly an unforgettable experience and one we'd love to return to. Gracie mille
